Transitioning to Bottle Feeding
Bottle feeding: We typically recommend starting bottles once breastfeeding is “well established”, usually by 2-3 weeks. It is best to use a slow flow bottle and paced bottle feeding technique (linked below). Giving your baby a bottle at least a few times a week will help avoid bottle refusal down the road. If you’re reading this because you’re already struggling with bottle refusal give us a call- we do lactation visits for this too.
